To All Prime Time Big Band Fans
Wow, another packed house with terrific fans ! A huge thanks to all our supporters and hope to see you all again real soon......like this coming Sat, the 6th of Mar, which has a special time slot due to Allison Brooks 10th Annual Special from 9-12 noon at the Club. The doors will be open to Big Band Fans at 1 pm and the concert will go from 3-5 pm.
Also, I just finished talking with Pat at the Club and the new Club is just about ready but the final inspections will most likely be on Monday. Having said that, there is a slight possibility it could be ready but to be on the safe side, plan on the old location.....1429-9th Ave SE........Boy oh boy, the anticipation is unbelievable !!!!!!!
Our concert this Sat is another super fantastic event that you just do not want to miss. Some of the big band charts include: "SILVER CELEBRATION" as recorded by the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, "DON'T GET AROUND MUCH ANYMORE" as recorded by Duke Ellington, "MUEVA LOS HUESOS" and "HUNTING WABBITS 2" as recorded by Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band, "DANCING MEN" as recorded by the Buddy Rich Big Band, "IF I WERE A BELLSON" written for Louie Bellson by Frank Mantooth and "MOOD INDIGO" from Sophisticated Ladies written Duke Ellington.....WOW...!
Some of Shari's vocals include: "UNTIL I MET YOU", recorded by Diane Schuur with Count Basie Orchestra, "YOU MAKE ME FEEL SO YOUNG", "FEVER", and "HOW SWEET IT IS" as recorded by Michael Buble......should be fantastic !!!!!
For those fans who could not be at our last concert my BIG NEWS FLASH announced that the one and only TOMMY BANKS is going to guest solo with Prime Time Big Band on 20 Mar 2010 !!!!!!!!
As most know, Tommy is a fantastic piano player, band leader, orchestra conductor, Juno Award recipient, Gemini Award winner etc. etc, etc......please check out the Bio on Tommy that I have placed on my web site ( www.primetimebigband.com ). This will be one of the greatest concerts we could put on folks so call soonest for reservations...403 269 5581. This is one not to miss !
